Tree of Enlightenment

Somewhere in the Northern Rockies
Where the rivers runs cold and clear
Where the mountain tops are encased in snow round year
There lies a untended gravel road
Too plain for common folk to see.

It is the clouds that offer the first clue.
Follow them to find the pass
that leads to the sacred ground foretold.
You can't but recognize these clouds
for your spirit soars when you gaze up on them.

A tree of shimmering leaves is what you seek.
A descendant of the Eden Tree,
The Tree of Knowledge and Enlightenment.
Although, this one bares no edible fruit,
(for we all know where that got us).

What you get when you find this tree secret
varies from soul to troubled soul,
But once the guilt has been set free,
It plants a seed deep inside of you
of internal hope and peace.

It is your mission to carry this seedling
To fertilize it with good deeds
For lifting other people’s woes
Allows your spiritual tree to grow.
